Privacy policy

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, and the authentication information needed to keep you signed in.

We store the content and activity you choose to create, including binders, card placements, wishlists, bookmarks, votes, and public profile information. Basic technical logs help us run, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Without an account, guest binders and wishlists remain in your browser. Guest Michi art files and previews are stored in IndexedDB on that device. Binder data keeps only an image identifier.

When you save a public binder, Michi Art item, or cover without an account, the site uses a signed first-party cookie so deliberate saves can count across visits. It is not based on your name, email address, IP address, or a device fingerprint.

Signed-in Michi art uploads are normalized and stored in private object storage. The database keeps their metadata and opaque storage keys. An upload stays private unless you submit it to Michi Art or publish a binder that displays it.

A Michi Art submission includes the artwork details you provide, such as its title, artist, source, license, tags, and your reason for being allowed to share it. If you contact support or send a report or credit correction, we store the contact details, affected artwork, and information you send so it can be reviewed.

Card Binder Ideas does not use advertising cookies or create identifiers to follow page visits or connect browsing sessions. The site counts page views and fresh site loads in daily aggregates. Routes and referring sites are reduced to broad, fixed categories before they are sent. A small set of editor and Michi actions, broad screen sizes and platforms, and qualitative Web Vitals ratings are counted the same way. These counters help identify places where the product is useful or frustrating. They contain no browser or session ID, IP-derived hash, raw path, full referrer, search text, exact screen width, exact performance timing, campaign parameter, or individual event history. The collector does not record requests when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled.

The site uses only storage needed for features you request. This includes the sign-in session after you choose Google sign-in, guest binders and saved items, editor preferences, unsaved editor recovery copies, and temporary discovery positions in the same tab. The guest save cookie lasts up to one year.

Video players are not loaded automatically. Choosing Load video connects your browser to YouTube and makes Google's privacy terms apply to that player.

Account, binder, save, and upload data is used to provide the features you request. Security logs, rate limits, moderation, and abuse prevention support our legitimate interest in keeping the service reliable and safe. We also process information when required to meet a legal obligation or handle a legal claim.

You can use the core binder tools without an account. Publishing content or using cloud storage requires sign-in because the service needs to identify the owner.

We use Google profile data to sign you in, display your profile, connect saved content to your account, and sync it across devices.

Card Binder Ideas asks only for basic identity information. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, contacts, or other Google services. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used for unrelated purposes.

Infrastructure providers process data only as needed to host the website, authentication, database, and image storage. This currently includes Google for optional sign-in and contracted hosting, database, and object-storage providers. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or when needed to protect the service and its users.

Binders are private by default. Publishing one makes its layout, description, cards, and creator profile visible to other people.

Submitting to the public Michi Art library makes the image, artwork details, uploader profile, and activity counts public. The image may also appear in public binders and the site's download or print features.

Creators may receive private activity when their public work is saved, remixed, published as a remix, or used in a public binder. Save activity does not reveal who saved the work.

Account data is kept while your account is active or while it is still needed to provide the service. We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect stored information.

An art upload cannot be deleted while a binder still references it. Deleting an unreferenced guest upload removes it from this browser immediately. An unreferenced cloud upload disappears from your library right away, remains in storage for a seven-day grace period, and is then queued for permanent deletion. The app does not currently offer a restore action.

Guest images are not a backup. Clearing site data, using private browsing, uninstalling a browser profile, or automatic storage cleanup can remove them.

Published artwork, reports, and credit corrections may be kept while they are needed for public binder references, attribution, moderation, dispute handling, or legal records. Contact support if you want a public artwork corrected or removed.

Identifier-based browser analytics was disabled on August 7, 2026. Browser and session identifiers created by the old collector are removed from local storage when the updated site loads. Older pseudonymous event records are kept separate from product data while they are prepared for deletion. Daily aggregate traffic and product counters cannot be connected to a browser, account, binder, or person.

You can use the core binder tools without Google sign-in. To delete your account and its server data, follow the account deletion instructions.

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is used. Email the address below to make a request. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you.

If you are in Finland or elsewhere in the European Economic Area, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Finland, this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
