How do you find the artist on a Pokémon card?

Look near the bottom edge for Illus. followed by a name. Search that exact credit to find more cards by the same illustrator.

Some cards credit an individual artist, while others credit a studio. Either can be the rule for your binder.

Which artist should you collect?

Start with a card you already like. Check a few more cards by its illustrator and see what keeps pulling you back: the colors, line work, tiny background details, or a material such as clay or yarn.

You do not need to know every artist first. Nine cards by one illustrator are enough to see whether the idea works as a page.

What belongs in an artist binder?

Pick one rule before adding cards:

• one printing of every artwork you like
• one card from each set or era
• a favorite Pokémon drawn by the same artist
• any card with the exact illustrator credit

If the same artwork appears in another language, foil, or reprint, keep one copy unless comparing the versions is part of the collection.

How much space does it need?

The three-page starter holds 27 cards. Use the first page for favorites, the second for a shared theme, and leave the third open while you learn more about the artist.

For a nine-card display page, choose Adjust setup and start with one page. Artists with a long TCG history can grow in three-page sections instead of needing a final size from day one.

What order works?

Release order is useful when you want to see how an artist's work changes over time. A visual order can group cards by color, Pokémon, setting, or material.

For a first page, place your favorite card in the center and choose eight cards that share something with it. The connection can be subtle.

Where do new cards and gaps go?

Keep the final page flexible for new releases. If you are following a checklist, leave empty pockets where missing cards belong and add them to your wishlist.

Alternate printings can sit beside the main card or stay behind it. Choose based on whether the comparison matters when the page is open.
