Plan a Pitch Black binder before placing the first card

How many pages does a Pitch Black binder need?

Mega Evolution—Pitch Black has 120 numbered cards: 84 in the main set and 36 higher-numbered cards.

For a nine-pocket binder:

  • Main set, cards 1–84: 10 pages
  • All 120 numbered cards: 14 pages
  • Numbered cards plus promos: start with 15 pages

The 14-page starter holds 126 cards, leaving six pockets after the numbered run. A 12-pocket layout fits all 120 cards exactly in 10 pages.

What counts as complete?

A numbered set stops at card 120. A broader master set might also include reverse holos, stamped cards, promos, or other variants.

Write down your rule before placing anything. Reverse holos add enough cards to change the binder size, so they should not be a last-minute decision.

Which order works?

Set-number order is the easiest to follow. Cards 1–84 make the main run, then cards 85–120 create the illustration and higher-rarity section at the back.

The final page has three numbered cards and six open pockets. Keep those gaps for promos, a set logo card, or future additions instead of pulling the whole collection forward.

Build it in Card Binder Ideas

Start the 14-page binder above and place cards by printed number. Add each missing card to the wishlist so the gap stays clear.

Use Adjust setup for reverse holos or promos. If you prefer 12-pocket pages, the Pitch Black gallery has a 10-page numbered-set template and public layouts to remix.
