Plan a Pokémon 151 binder without redoing it later

A neatly arranged Pokémon card collection suggesting a complete set binder

How many pages does a Pokémon 151 binder need?

Scarlet & Violet—151 has 207 numbered cards: 165 in the main set and 42 higher-numbered cards.

For a nine-pocket binder:

  • 165-card main set: 19 pages
  • all 207 numbered cards: 23 pages
  • numbered cards plus promos: start with 24 pages

The starter above uses 24 pages, so the numbered run fits exactly and the last page stays open for promos, a title card, or future changes.

What counts as a master set?

There is no single definition. Some collectors stop at the 165-card main set. Others include all 207 numbered cards, reverse holos, promos, or other related Kanto cards.

Write your rule in the binder description before filling it. That one decision sets the page count and keeps every gap understandable.

Which order should the cards follow?

Use the printed set number. Missing cards stay easy to spot and the binder matches the checklist.

Set number is not the same as Pokédex number. The first 151 Pokémon appear in Pokédex order, but the set also has extra versions, Trainer cards, and Energy.

Where do reverse holos and promos go?

Choose one system before placing cards:

  • Regular and reverse side by side: easiest to compare, but needs much more space.
  • Reverse behind the regular card: compact in a physical binder, though only one version appears in the digital pocket.
  • A separate reverse-holo section: keeps both runs in order.

Promos are easiest to keep at the end. Adding them inside the numbered run can force a large reshuffle later.

Build it in Card Binder Ideas

Start the 24-page binder above and place cards by set number. Add missing cards to the wishlist so their planned pockets stay visible.

If you only want cards 1–165, use Adjust setup to switch to 19 pages. A 12-pocket version needs 18 pages for all 207 numbered cards and leaves nine pockets free.

You can publish the plan before the collection is complete or remix an example below for a different reverse-holo setup.
